Street Art

Spoleto’s artistic vitality is testified to by the opening to one of the most cutting-edge contemporary languages, that is, Street Art. The project COLLICOLA ON THE WALL was conceived by Palazzo Collicola Visual Arts’ director Gianluca Marziani who, starting in 2010, invited 18 artists to create their works on the walls of the 18th-century palace.
Among the involved street artists, there are some Italians of international fame, as well as two Spaniards and an American; in their wide range of themes and styles, they are united by the stir that radiates from Spoleto’s artistic heritage. This art form is spreading in the city also thanks to private initiatives, see the decoration on the walls of Hotel Arca or the project for the renewal of the train station.
