It was built in the early 17th century and replaced the Palazzo del Podestà. A finely carved portal leads to the stone paving of the ground floor, possibly obtained with the remains of the previous building.
The Piano Nobile maintains valuable wooden roofs and the entirely painted dance hall. The building now serves as headquarters for the Bonifica Umbra, a public body; it also hosts temporary exhibitions by worldwide-famous artists, included in the Festival Of Two Worlds’ program.
